D.M.D.-D.D.S

I'm often asked "what is the difference between a dentist with a D.M.D. degree, and one with a D.D.S. degree?"  Actually, very little, except the dental school from which they graduated.

My Alma Mater, The University of Pennsylvania awards a D.M.D. degree to emphasize their focus on oral medicine, rather than oral surgery.  However, I think that every dental school recognizes and teaches the connection between oral and systemic health.

Why Rochester?

I am frequently asked, “ Why did you choose to stay in downtown Rochester?”

In the eighties and nineties, when many businesses were leaving for the suburbs, I visited a number of office parks. For the most part, the office space was two stories high with low ceilings and small windows which overlooked shrubbery or a parking lot.

Here in our eighth floor loft, large windows look out on an historic cityscape, all the way to Lake Ontario to the north and the Bristol hills to the south. We are near the Eastman Theater and GEVA and fine restaurants such as Max at Eastman Place, The Inn on Broadway, and other popular restaurants in the East End.

A Native American friend told me “You can only do good work when your heart is happy.” Here, my heart is happy.
